meet the founder
jessy kyle
Jessy Kyle is a singer, inspirational speaker, entrepreneur, and inventor. At a photoshoot in 1993, Jessy could not find a bra to fit her outfit. On the morning of the shoot, her mother took masking tape and fashioned a bra out of it. It was ugly and extremely painful and that was the first time Jessy said, “I am going to design a bra that really fits”.
Fast forward to 2010. Jessy sought a breast reduction surgery but was denied the surgery because of prior radiation treatment she received in high school. Jessy is a 3-time survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It was on that drive home from the doctor’s office that she came up with the design idea for Betterly. Jessy researched and developed her groundbreaking idea, filed for and received a utility patent, and brought in a COO with 25+ years of clothing manufacturing experience.
Jessy has secured a factory on the East Coast, so Betterly is proudly Made in America🇺🇸.
Jessy believes that music and Betterly are her passions, but helping people is her purpose. Jessy has counseled cancer patients for over 30 years and is an inspirational speaker. She sits on the boards of The HEADstrong Foundation, The Center City Girls Academy, The Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute, and supports the Gashora Girls Academy in Rwanda. Jessy resides in Bucks County, PA with her husband Brendan, daughter Mallea, and their bulldog, Petey.
